Target Audience- middle and high school AVID Elective teachers and coordinators who have completed the AVID Elective- Implementing the Fundamantals of Instruction Learning Intentions: Participants will: (1) engage in learning around six family workshops intended to strengthen the partnership between schools and families, as they support college and career readiness for all students and increase knowledge around graduation plans and advanced academic coursework (2) engage in the new AVID Elective Curriculum (3) learn to leverage PLC practices and protocols in order to conceptually develop AVID curriculum and essential skills while helping students own their learning. Success Criteria- I can: (1) identify the stages of the AVID instructional model, (2) determine the AVID standards and learning that my course/grade level is responsible for. (3) Generate success criteria for both the content and essential skills learned in my course (4) Develop an actional plan for a family workshop curriculum to be implemented at the campus
